The wheat fields near Wichita, Kansas is where Micah began his art training. A young boy in the 1970’s Micah started under the tutelage of oil painter, Carolee Brown. He went on to receive his bachelor’s in Fine Art from the Kansas City Art Institute.
His work of bright color and sculptural application of paint evokes a sense of great energy, intensity, and mystery. His painting serves as an impetus to questioning within the mind of the viewer with the mixture of abstract and minimal concreate to serve as the base for visual metaphor.
Micah’s works hangs in collections in Kansas City, Scottsdale, Chicago, Las Vegas, Califorina, Orlando, Maryland, and Wichita.
The creative journey starts with stepping outside of one's everyday ties and start to find the freedom found in the moment.
