Creating Art w/ Passion & Vision for the Future.
Micah Dixon hails from the wheat fields near Wichita, Kansas. He began his art training as a young boy in the 1970’s under the tutelage of oil painter, Carolee Brown. He went on to receive his bachelor’s in Fine Art from the Kansas City Art Institute.
His work of bright color and sculptural application of paint evokes a sense of great energy, intensity, and mystery. His painting serves as an impetus to questioning within the mind of the viewer with the mixture of abstract and minimal concreate to serve as the base for visual metaphor.
Micah’s works hangs in collections in Kansas City, Scottsdale, Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando, Maryland, and Wichita.
My creative process is fueled by an eclectic array of inspirations – the serene beauty of nature, the soul-stirring rhythms of music, and the diverse tapestry of people and places that enrich my everyday experiences. I aspire to create art that resonates on an emotional level.
Embarking on the creative journey is stepping aside from one's own everyday barriers and embracing the freedom in the moment.
This understanding allows an artist to channel their expression into their creations.
